Hello! I’m Jennifer. I’m an artist who lives and creates in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia.

I create acrylic and mixed media paintings.  My art is an intuitive process.  I paint portraits, abstract, or anything really depending on how I feel inspired. I thrive on spontaneity and love breaking rules. The way I paint is a continual process of laying down expectations and accepting what happens. I watch as layers of texture, interest, and ideas build up and the emotions inside me translate to canvas.  I allow things new and unknown to emerge. It feels like trailblazing towards revelation and freedom.  What comes up to the surface of the painting emerges to be healed. I need to feel the canvas and will use my fingers to scratch and push and blend paint around.  My body becomes part of this process. It can be both peaceful yet raw and ugly.  It is always honest.

I am always evolving as an artist. God continues to lead me to new places and the process has brought great joy.  From one painting to the next I am given what I need to learn, heal, play, surrender, explore, and express.
